Market Morning Briefing

EQUITIES
Dow Jones (13895.98, +051%) was up further but has resistance near 13900-14100 region which need to be watched. New Home Sales numbers were at 369K against expected of 387K which was slightly disappointing but the market seems to have ignored it.
A-Pac is mostly in the green today with Hang Seng (23676, +0.41%), Taiwan (7704, +0.41%) and Straits Times (3273, +0.14%). Australia remains closed today on the account of the Australia day.
Shanghai (2313.91, +0.99%) has risen further today but has strong resistance in the 2325-50 region. There are good chances that this resistance could hold for some time and a consolidation is seen.
Nikkei (10885.48, -0.38%) is slightly lower today which is understandable after a strong rise on Friday. It looks to be in the 10400-11000 range in the immediate term within its overall bullish trend. A further rise towards 11300 on the break of 11000 can be seen in the coming days
